Vulci 3000
Vulci 3000 is a digital, remote hub for users to learn, interact, and experience the excavation project of the Vulci 3000 archaeological team. It provides this through two “sides.”
One side is a typical website format that includes details on the site’s varied history and the modern archaeological practices and tools the team is using.
The other is a webGL tour experience produced in Unity. It allows the user to navigate a bird’s eye view of the Vulci region and investigate specific data read-outs over the areas the team scanned. The “tour” also includes a handful of 360° views of the current excavation.
Vulci 3000 is a project focused on the study and interpretation of urban transformations in the transition between Etruscan and Roman cities, their public spaces, and specifically on the unique case study of Vulci (Viterbo, Italy)
